Sore is not perf....: Rectal Perforation is not 'sore'. It is emergent, life threatening and bloody. So, if you are otherwise just a bit sore you have not perforated your anus. Had a colonoscopy a 2 week ago. A large polyp was removed 5 inches inside , no problems until last few days , very sore in the rectum , no blood .

Getting better/worse: ?? if worse, would definitely go see your GI doc. did you get constipated after the procedure perhaps? sometimes straining can lead to more painful hemorrhoids. Make sure you know what your polyp was as well (tubular adenoma, tubulovilleous adenoma, any dysplastic changes) and when they want you back. ...Read more

Anal sores/bumps: Could you be referring to fissures, fistula, abscess? Sexually transmitted disease (syphilis, gc, hiv, etc.) should be considered. Hemorrhoids ; rectal prolapse can appear as an outward bulging. Anal trauma of any kind may cause mechanical injury. Skin eruptions need to be considered.
