What Can Cause Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Groin
It depends: We need to know more. How long have you had these nodes and what is their size? Are they increasing in size? If they are bigger than 2 Cm and increasing in size in 1 to 2 months, you need to be examined by a physician. If the nodes are suspicious for Cancer, a biopsy is the best way to find out or exclude Cancer as the cause. Infections can also cause swelling of lymph nodes (Tender to touch)

Infection: Usually swollen nodes are a sign of infection. You need to be checked out by a doctor.See 2 more doctor answers
Not likely: The definition of 'pinched nerve' is unclear here. The inguinal region is a common place for lymph node enlargement because the nodes drain a particularly 'dirty' area of the body. Nodes enlarge when they are fighting inflammation or tumors. If this persists or gets worse see a doctor.
Yes, but not often: Any inflammatory lesion can cause local lymph node enlargement however, enlarged nodes in the groin are not commonly associated with these perianal problems. See a surgeon they can assess and treat the perianal problems and evaluate the nodes.See 1 more doctor answer
Doubtful: After obtaining a medical history, examination and any needed studies - your physician may be able to shed more life on your inguinal lymphadenopathy.See 2 more doctor answers
Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well.See 1 more doctor answer

Several things: A few small nodes (less than 1 cm) are not uncommon in the groins. These are usually due to injury or infection and are usually harmless. However, if your groin nodes seem getting larger over times, you should check with your doctor since besides infection, many cancers can cause this. Some examples are lymphoma, melanoma, or testicular cancer (in men), or cervical cancer (in women).
Yes: Certainly so. However, simply the act of shaving can lead to swollen nodes in the groin. I would seriously recommend you have this examined.
Need physical exam: Swollen lymph nodes are never normal. You really need to be examined by a physician to figure out what is going on. Usually nothing.: This is the place where enlarged lymph glands are most often found. If not tender or hard, and if they are under 1 cm in diameter there usually is no problem. If that is not the case, or if there are other symptoms like fever, night sweats or weight loss, they might need to be biopsied.
Infection or cancer: Swollen lymph nodes usually indicate infection or cancer. You should see a doctor to have this checked promptly.
