What can cause swollen lymph nodes in groin/neck?

What can cause swollen lymph nodes in groin/neck?

It depends: We need to know more. How long have you had these nodes and what is their size? Are they increasing in size? If they are bigger than 2 Cm and increasing in size in 1 to 2 months, you need to be examined by a physician. If the nodes are suspicious for Cancer, a biopsy is the best way to find out or exclude Cancer as the cause. Infections can also cause swelling of lymph nodes (Tender to touch)

Can a pinched nerve cause swollen lymph nodes in the groin?

Can a pinched nerve cause swollen lymph nodes in the groin?

Not likely: The definition of 'pinched nerve' is unclear here. The inguinal region is a common place for lymph node enlargement because the nodes drain a particularly 'dirty' area of the body. Nodes enlarge when they are fighting inflammation or tumors. If this persists or gets worse see a doctor.

Yes, but not often: Any inflammatory lesion can cause local lymph node enlargement however, enlarged nodes in the groin are not commonly associated with these perianal problems. See a surgeon they can assess and treat the perianal problems and evaluate the nodes.

What could cause swollen lymph nodes in my groin?

Monitoring Centers: Lymphatic system absorbs/carries things too big to go into the arteries/veins like bacteria eaten by white cells and digested food. Lymph nodes "taste" the lymph for anything bad like bacteria/viruses/cancers, etc. When it detects a problem, it alerts the immune system and your body reacts. They enlarge in response to the inflammation they create when they react. They shrink when all is well.

Any nearby infection: Any nearby infection (leg, genitals, lower abdomen, or skin infection) can cause swelling of the inguinal lymph nodes. I would recommend seeing your doctor to determine where the infection is coming from and get appropriate treatment! Hope you feel better soon!

What can mean swollen lymph nodes in the groin area?

What can mean swollen lymph nodes in the groin area?

Several things: A few small nodes (less than 1 cm) are not uncommon in the groins. These are usually due to injury or infection and are usually harmless. However, if your groin nodes seem getting larger over times, you should check with your doctor since besides infection, many cancers can cause this. Some examples are lymphoma, melanoma, or testicular cancer (in men), or cervical cancer (in women).

Swollen lymph nodes in left groin. Advice/tips?

Need physical exam: Swollen lymph nodes are never normal. You really need to be examined by a physician to figure out what is going on. Many times, infections can be the cause of swollen lymph nodes in the groin but there are many other causes. Please don't wait and ask your pcp to take a look and help you figure out what is going on. I hope this helps. Best wishes, ariel.

What do a couple swollen lymph nodes in groin mean?

Usually nothing.: This is the place where enlarged lymph glands are most often found. If not tender or hard, and if they are under 1 cm in diameter there usually is no problem. If that is not the case, or if there are other symptoms like fever, night sweats or weight loss, they might need to be biopsied.
