After lower lumbar fusion I have sharp pain in foot at ancle. With numbness how long till the nerves heal? It's been a year on the 18th of this month.
Depends: It really depends on the specific cause of your numbness. Certainly the concern is that if it has not gotten better for a year it may not improve at all. Have you been told the specific cause of it by your surgeon? It all hinges on the specific diagnosis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

See an osteopath dr: It might be good to see an osteopathic dr. For evaluation and treatment of both your back pain, and foot pain, as either can make the pain worse for the other. If you have flat feet, and are not wearing orthotics, this can impact your lower back. As can, having low back pain affect your gait. In either case, get relief, and a second opinion. Plantar fasciitis can cause foot pain to be worse too. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

There are many causes of pain in the foot without any apparent trauma. Without knowing more about your boy's health history and getting a look at his tootsie, i'd be misleading you with any specific answers.
It's always safest and best to bring it in to a podiatrist, perhaps get an x-ray, and know for certain. Hope your boy feels better and good luck! ...Read more
Pain in foot, worse with use. Had for months. Not improving Sharp pain if side outside of foot pressed. Aching all time now. What could be wrong?
Needs evaluation: I have found that there is usually a primary location of injury/inflammation. Many times we will favor the area and shift our weight. It seems that the outside of the foot ends up bearing weight causing pain there. I am imagining your primary pain to be near the ball of the foot. This can be the result a stress fracture or even perhaps a Morton's neuroma. The squeezing pain points to neuroma ...Read moreSee 4 more doctor answers

L5-S1 microdiscectomy Fri for left leg sciatic pain. Calf/foot pain relief w/some thigh/behind knee pain. Pain less AM but sharp pain down left leg into foot w/pain level of 9.5 & hurts sitting/lying.
Microdiskectomy: Give it some time; sometimes simply moving the roots around can upset the lumbar plexus and give you intermittent (even quite severe) pain, although it resolves within a week or two. Getting to the disk requires mobilization of the roots and inflammatory changes from that- or the disk herniation- itself can give this pain. As long as bowel and bladder OK, hopefully this will resolve also. Best! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Stabbing burning pain in foot arch, with a hard lump. Also swelling in ankle, unable to bear weight. What's wrong?
Plantar Fibroma: Though I have not examined you, it sounds like you have a plantar fibroma, which is a thickening and enlargement of the plantar fascia. They usually hurt if they press on underlying structures, or are getting very large. Try stretching and icing with anti-inflammatories to alleviate the pain, but the lesion will usually not resolve on its own. See a local Podiatrist for treatment options ...Read more

Painful left toes: How long have you had these symptoms? Any h/o diabetes, trauma to your left lower limb, back symptoms associated with toes pain? A test, "EMG & NCS" looks at how your nerves and muscles of your left leg function from the spine to the toes.
