What: What you are describing sounds like pulsatile tinnitis. Before recommending treatment, it would be reasonable to reconnect with your ENT to explore possible causes that include certain vascular tumors of the head and neck (i.e., paragangliomas), atherosclerosis that may be creating narrowing and turbulent flow of your carotid artery (which runs close to your middle ear), possible avm (arteriovenous malformation), etc. After a thorough head and neck exam, and audiogram, he/she may wish to get a contrast ct or mri/mra study. Just curious, with you being on lipoflavanoids, have you been diagnosed with meniere's disease? ...Read more

Tinnitus: Tinnitus (TIN-ih-tus) is the perception of noise or ringing in the ears. A common problem, tinnitus affects about 1 in 5 people. Tinnitus isn't a condition itself — it's a symptom of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder. Http://www. Mayoclinic. If: If these symptoms have been on and off since your injury then we can possibly attribute your symptoms to the neck injury. You may be dealing with a compression or herniation in your spine and/ or arthritis in your spine, obviously in the area that was previously injured. You need to follow up with your primary care provider or orthopedist. If x-rays have not been done recently, then after a thorough exam these should be ordered followed possibly by an mri. In the meantime your doctor can prescribe you anti-inflammatory medications as well as meds directed at nerve pain. Lastly a complete history and physical are in order if one has not been done in the past year or so.
All the best. ...Read more
