What can ammonia in a left lung cause to a 2 year old baby?

What can ammonia in a left lung cause to a 2 year old baby?

Not sure: I suppose you mean pneumonia, not ammonia, as pneumonia is a common lung disease, whereas ammonia is a blood waste product. Pneumonia may be treated and cured or may cause complications such as respiratory failure and result in death or complications such as lung abscess, effusion, sepsis etc. It depends on the bug that caused it, the immune response of the host etc. ...Read more

When you inspire, oxygen flows into the lungs, transverses the capilliares and attaches to hemoglobin down a gradient. At the same time, co2 diffuses into the capilaries and is expelled with exhalation. Oxygen rich blood then flows to the left side of the heart and into the ...Read more

Hello I'm 22 year old male I currently been noticeing that I'm short at breath and a small garglly noise inside my left lung what can it be?

Needs evaluation: Any time you have new onset shortness of breath, you need to be seeing a doctor in person, not on-line. Someone needs to listen to your chest to see if the breath sounds and air movement are normal. This could be minor, such as plugs of mucous, to something more serious such as a pneumonia, partially collapsed lung or an embolism. Needs exam and possibly x-ray for starters. ...Read more

I have chronic congestion in my left lung for last three years. What could cause this?! nothing helps! my oxygen rate was 99% always though

I have chronic congestion in my left lung for last three years. What could cause this?! nothing helps! my oxygen rate was 99% always though

Need more info: Doctors need to see you and take a fuller history than is permitted here. You could have nothing, or you could have asthma, chronic allergies, or any of dozen of very rare conditions. None of the symptoms you describe are specific for any of them. If you have seeen a doctor and not gotten the answers, its likely that this is just congestion in your upper airway that feels like its from the lung. ...Read more

Several things: This problem mandates a real-time (face-to-face) meeting with a doctor. A history has to be taken along with a examination as well as labs and other tests. Only after all this will your doctor be in a position to tell you what's wrong and what needs to be done to help you. ...Read more

Hi Dr.
I am 34 years old male , non smoker
I took chest radiograph before 2 weeks
I found that I have lung nodule 6*6mm
In my left lung ,thanks?

CT follow-up: Get a CT scan if not done yet. Isolated lung nodule of 6.6 mm is too small to be detected by PET-CT, and also too small to biopsy at this time. Your risk for primary lung cancer is relatively low given your young age and nonsmoker status. But I suggest you to see a lung doctor for opinion and CT follow-up. In addition, what did your MRI abd show? ...Read more

What kind of exercises might be suitable for 28 years old woman whose half of left lung has been removed due to bronchiechtasis?

Increase gradually: You should be able to tolerate most exercise if you go about getting into those activities gradually (even strenuous running). The body has a wonderful ability to adapt and the lungs are no exception. People can actively increase their lung volume with exercise. Start with low impact (biking walking hiking) add in some weight training and then increase. Swimming adds major gains. ...Read more
