I had my period last week , it went off on tuesday . Around saturday brown discharge started appearing & it is now monday and a little blood is added there is no cramps just nervousness from this. I havent had sex since later june and we used protection .

Brown = old blood: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections ; hormonal changes can cause spotting. Brown simply indicates old blood and is normal. Feedback: In my anesthesia practice I have noticed that nervousness manifests itself in various ways, depending on personality. Some patients get very quiet, some giggle, others get defensive, etc. These sort of nervous responses may be unconscious.
