Evaluation: First question is why was initial scan that found lymph node performed? A complete evaluation is critical. Isolated para-aortic and ap window nodes (levels 6 & 5) can be benign inflammatory, from lung cancer, from other cancer, or etc... Wait to Worry: You should not be thinking about death unless your Cancer is growing or spreading(called Metastasis). Most people with growing cancer develop symptoms which will signal that you need to see your doctor for examination. Unlikely: Even though you do have copd. This is one of those questions that is academic. If it is cancer, it will not be curable because it has spread. If you feel generally well, it is probably not cancer. There's no point in pursuing it. Go about your life. ...Read more
