Reflux: Most babies spit breast milk or formula at times. Babies with symptomatic reflux will often arch their backs and cry because of pain. If the reflux is persistent it will irritate the swallowing tube and there may be a brownish material or blood contained in the vomitus. Sometimes babies with severe reflux do not grow well. Timing of vomiting: Many children spit up, some a lot. The time after feeding is key for deciding if the stomach has delayed emptying. Infants should have an empty stomach by 2 hours or so after eating, so if a child throws up 4 hrs or more after eating, they likely have delayed emptying. All do some: Reflux vs reflux disease: all kids/adults reflux. Burp once & u just had a dry one. Infants all do and it seems to increase a bit and peak naturally around 4m as they get stronger & generate more abdominal pressure with rolling & flexing. As long as they have no heartburn or other troublesome symptoms (barfing thru nose, wt loss) they grow out of it over time. Meds can help with symptoms. ...Read more

Minor difference: Most milk-based infant formulas are essentially the same, although different companies will sometimes make very minor changes such as a different amount of calcium. There are some formulas which are designed to be easier to digest, and some babies with acid reflux have less spitting with these formulas.
