Anorectic agents generally known as diet pills are medications which decrease or inhibit appetite and aid in the reduction of food intake, therefore aiding weightmloss. Most currently FDA-approved appetite medications are dispensed by prescription due to potential side effects and contraindications. Diet pills alone are seldom successful in deriving long-term weight reduction. They should only be taken under the direct supervision of a physician specifically trained in their use as a part of a multi-modal treatment program including diet, exercise, ...Read more

Diet pills: It depends on the type of diet pills. Some are in the category of stimulants, which suppress one's appetite. Therefore, one may be able to drink more alcohol without feeling sleepy, for example. This may lead to a dangerous situation, like trying to drive while under the influence. As such, I would be very careful. A single glass of wine or one beer is okay, but I would stop there. Good luck. ...Read more
Side effects: There are very few, if any, medications that have no side effects. Our bodies are wondrously complex and delicately balanced machines. To tinker with one part using a medication almost always causes additional effects in another part. The goal is to minimize these side effects but they are almost always there to some extent. ...Read more
Lypodryl is a diet pill claiming to be all natural is it safe to take of not what r some side effects?
Difficult to say: I don't recommend this treatment for my patients. Treatments such as this are not regulated by any outside source, therefore, you may or may not be getting consistent delivery of the active metabolite. Also, there is not enough data on it's safety. Because of these reasons, I would recommend an alternative weight loss therapy. ...Read more

What do you advise if I was trying to do some research on the side effects for diet pills. And what would happen if a person younger than 18say 17 took them?
Well....: Since the chemicals in them are very similar to ritalin (methylphenidate) and other ADHD medications.... not generally all that bad. Cardiovascular and blood pressure effects which the drugs do, don't happen in young people except really really rarely. ...Read more
Real: This is a very pricey mix of things; psyllium will bulk your stools and senna is a laxative. Claims for acai haven't stood up to examination and I doubt that mango is a real appetite suppressant. But the first two will make your gut feel different and give you the idea you've eaten something magic -- the principle of the "active placebo." it's your money. ...Read more

Impossible to say: Ace diet pills contain raspberry ketones, garcinia cambodia, saffron, green coffee bean extract, l carnitine, and konjak root extract. I have a bottle of raspberry ketones. The bottle has so many medical warnings against it on the back including mood disorders, that it is hard to tell whether the company that makes it is simply trying to cover itself from potential lawsuits or whether there's actually been research done on these issues. All I can tell you is that there is no information that I can find about this and that I doubt that these medications have been subjected to any type of drug interactions studies. Therefore, I cannot recommend that youtake this combined supplementin the absence of adequate research. Best wishes. ...Read more
