I think i may have adult add/adhd. I have all the symptoms listed on http://helpguide.Org/mental/adhd_add_adult_symptoms.Htm including anxiety. If i take ritalin, is it ok to use benzos for anxiety?
Stimulant +therapy: The stimulant needs to be right for you. That means effective, without side effects. 30% of people respond better to one versus all other stimulants. If you combine it with therapy (behavior retraining) your improvement will be significant. Gradually, you will become more confident and ambitious, taking on projects you always wished to do but never could. Until now. Good luck! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How is 'adult add ' diagnosed? I went to a local psychiatrist today for the first time. I've had symptoms most of my life; he didn't diagnosis or treat me.

Every drug has side effects and risks. I recommend an in depth discussion with your md re: risk/benefits. Review drug insert. ...Read more

Prob not help: You are already taking Strattera in the am. Taking later in day would just prob increase your symptoms. The insomnia is a possible side effect from the med. Many times this will either disappear or decrease substantially over two weeks. If it does not decrease, you might speak with your provider about the dosage, as individuals metabolize meds differently and you may need to change the dose. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
