Pica: is the medical term for eating unusual things like ice, cornstarch, clay or raw rice compulsively. It is often a sign of iron deficiency anemia. Pica? See doc: Eating every hour may not be entirely unusual at your age but you should still get a check out to find out if you may have diabetes, thyroid problem. Your obsession on raw rice may be a sign of iron deficiency anemia- or pica. There is no harm i can see in eating raw rice , unless that's all you eat, except that you may get pretty bloated if you drink liquid with it especially in large quantity. ...Read more

Eating a large amount, may cause some abdominal pain or distention due to the large amount of water that rice can absorb.
