Is it ok to take B6 in 25mg for low progesterone, due to a short luteal phase defect , would taking this alomg with my womens one a day vitamin be ok?
Yes, but try more: Yes, it's ok, but most experts suggest taking a total of 100-200 mg/day. However, it is wise to be cautious as doses over 200 mg/day have the potential to cause a reversible neuropathy (though that does not usually occur in doses below 1000 mg). Start with 100 mg/day. Good quality vitamin: We agree. I'm not a fan of most over the counter multivits. They have just enough of many ingredients in them to make them legal. They also base their contents on the rdas of the government, which are extremely low. Ask a nutritionist or your doc to suggest a brand. If you look on the label and many of the ingredients are several hundred % above the rda you are on the right track. Peace. ...Read more

Not to worry: While most multiple vitamin formulations are designed to provide most of the Recommended Daily Allowances of vitamins for one day, doubling up occasionally will have no effect. Some of the vitamins are water soluble and any excess will be voided in urine. One day's extra amount will not be a problem for the fat soluble ones. This was probably just a mistake, but the gummies taste pretty good, no? ...Read more

I wouldn't: Prenatal vitamins and multivitamins are similar (though not exactly the same), so there is no need to take both, and doing so might lead to nausea. If you accidently took both one day, i wouldn't worry, there is no real danger. ...Read more
Is it bad to take a woman's one a day vitamin n hair and nail vitamin at the same time or in the same day?
Usually not but...:
The only possible danger is taking too much of certain vitamins but that is highly unlikely. To become toxic one would need to take 40, 000 iu of d, 25, 000 units of a, 1500 iu of e or 250 mg of b6, usually for months, and no one-a-day & hair &nail will have that much, but one should avoid more that 10, 000 iu of a when pregnant (but beta carotene ok).
However, see my comment re: one a day:. ...Read more
Is there any risk in taking the one a day women's vitamins? Also being that they are made by Bayer do they contain aspirin? I'm 30 yrs old
Yes, some risks: No medicine or supplement is completely safe. One a day brand women's vitamins has ingredients that some people are allergic to such as fish & soy. The soy may be from gmo sources which i consider risky. It has 3 artificial colors that can cause adverse reactions (& are unnecessary), titanium dioxide, a possible carcinogen, & synthetic vit e which is also unhealthy. It has no aspirin. Trying to conceive! is it safe & beneficial to take a fertility blend for women, along with my womans one a day prenatal vitamin? Txs!
Not FDA tested.: It should not hurt, although this vitamin concoction has not been tested by the fda for safety and efficacy. So, take it at your own risk if you must, but really the only ingredient that i could recommend is the Folic Acid at 1-5 mg daily to prevent preterm birth and fetal anomalies. Best of luck! ...Read more
Yes, totally safe: There is a very wide safety margin in taking vitamins and minerals. Women's one a day has relatively low doses of most of its ingredients. It does have 450 mg of calcium carbonate, but this is a relatively poorly-absorbed form of calcium so additional calcium, esp. Better-absorbed forms like calcium citrate is advised.I also advise taking a total of 4-5000 units of vit. D for bone & overall health. ...Read more

Is it safe to take a one a day womens multivitamin along with a nature made stress b complex vitamin ? I was told i could because the bs you would pee
Vitamins: I don't know what kind of multivitamin you're talking about -- different ones have different contents and fillers. As long as you are not sensitive to corn or other fillers in it, nature made stress b complex should be fine. Be sure to look at how much vit c is in your other vitamin, because your "b complex" has 500 mg in it also. You can get loose stools from more vit c than you can tolerate. ...Read more
