Generally, yes.: Sweat contains variable amounts of salt and one can lose considerable amounts when exercising in a hot climate. Salt replacement is highly recommended. Unfortunately, commercial "sport drinks" contain lots of sugar (or high fructose corn syrup) and inadequate amounts of electrolytes.
