Could inner ear problems such as fluid not draining properly cause colored spots and heat wave effects in vision and make me feel off balance?

Headache aura?: Your symptoms are suggestive of headache aura from migraines. But as far as "fluid not draining properly" from the inner ear..not sure where you're getting that idea....are you thinking you have elevated perilymph volumes or pressures in the cochlea? If so, then, yes that could cause headaches & balance problems. Or, you may just have migraine aura, as millions do with normal inner ear drainage. ...Read more

What could cause me to have two flat red spots behind my right ear? Not painful or itchy

What could cause me to have two flat red spots behind my right ear? Not painful or itchy

Most commonly: these would be little patches of inflammation/irritation, but without being itchy it is less likely to be an allergic or inflammatory reaction. Perhaps they are petechiae which can result when tiny blood vessels called capillaries burst under the skin. They can be caused by injury/trauma. OK to watch for a few days. If more develop, become painful or irritated, see your Doctor/Dermatologist. ...Read more

I also grew a spot right behind my ear! is getting big and i can't press it cause its painful. Any solutions ?

Hard to say: Your question is not clear- if it is a skin lesion, at your age it is not likely anything of concern. If it is below the skin, about 1cm or so in size, and tender, it is probably a (benign) lymph node, which pops up in response to infection, skin lesion or inflammation, etc. I would probably leave it alone- don't mash on it, etc. If it doesn't go away on its own within a week or 2, get it checked. ...Read more

Migraine: Migraine headaches are common at your age and can exhibit pain over the head and behind the ears. The exact cause is not known. For starters, you could try some self care strategies like warm compresses, massages, hot showers, relaxation, green tea. Talk to your pcp or a neurologist. ...Read more

It's like a sharp cramp feeling on the left side above my ear, in a half dollar coin sized area, doesn't last long and is random but getting it in the same spot for the past week. I do have a cold, could that be the cause?

Could be Rhinitis: Allergic rhinitis presents with a variety of symptoms including nasal congestion, running, ear fullness, itching (eyes and nose), and post-nasal drip that can resemble a cold. If you get "colds" every spring could be secondary to tree pollen (out now). Increased swelling and inflammation in sinuses can refer to ear and cause fullness/pain. I'm in your area if you need to be seen. Feel better. ...Read more

Cause of tender spot over cheekbone an inch b4 the ear, just below temple? Feels almost like a vein or bruise over the bone. Had long time. No injury.

Possibly TMJ: Tender spot in front of ear and below temple can be Temporal Mandibular Joint disorder. I notice that my husband has a small purple spot on his earlobe. Should this be of concern........or is it a hickey. ?

Purple spot: if it is a single small purple spot it is likely a type of benign nevus or hemangioma. A hickey would generally be at least 2-3 cm in diameter, and that is not "small" by dermatologic standards. if it gets larger, changes colors, etc, it should be examined and possibly biopsied by a physician. ...Read more

Hard to say: Hypersensitivity rxn to earrings comes to mind - is that feasible with the type of earrings you have recently worn? Certain metals, esp nickel alloys, are very sensitizing. Hydrocortisone cream and avoiding further contact would help if that's the cause. ...Read more
