What Are Motile Sperm
My sperms are 5millions sluggishly motile and 15 millions are non motile, is i.u.i. possible or not?
More difficult but..: Certainly less likely, but a the same time not impossible. There are various procedures that can be done by a doctor to enhance your changes of having success. ...Read more
Possible: Although normal sperm morphology is important in conceiving, a low value may be compensated by higher sperm counts and increased motility. It does take 100's of millions of normal sperm to "get the job" done, you may benefit by concentrating the sample and considering doing intrauterine insemination or iui. Make sure the rest of your testing is normal. Good luck. ...Read more
What are the chances of conceiving naturally: 13m /ml sperm count, 70% motility, 12% morphology. Female 30yrs, fertility tests normal?
What are chances of naturally conceiving: sperm count 13m, morphology 12% motility 70%. Female aged 30 fertility test results normal.
See below: Normal motility should be >50% motile. Most important number is total motile sperm count (volume x concentration x motility) normal total count would be >40 million, but numbers can vary up to 50% day to day. <20 million total is concerning, <10 million is very low. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Sperm motility: Grading scale: 0 = no motion. 1 = some head or tail movement, but no forward progress. 2 = feeble forward progress, not likely fast enough to swim against the current through the fallopian tube. 3 = rapid forward progression 4 = frenzied swimming (rarely seen in human sperm). ...Read more
If my sperm motility is 30% but total motile sperms are 51 million is that good enough? My urologist says total motile matter the most in fertility.
Depends: The overall number of total motile sperm is good but there are other parameters that can affect the sperm such as the quality of the movement , number of " round cells" etc.. 51 millions if total motile sperm overall is a very good number and if considering sperm alone it is overall sufficient for a natural pregnancy. ...Read more
Semen test: t count 42 mil. Sperm motility 60% progressive 7% sluggish 31%. Are these values are normal to conceive naturally. Doctor says its not.
Yes, poor quality: Indeed the report of semen analysis showed poor qulity in motility. For low motility, i would like to know if there're many pus cells (white blood cells) in the semen and if you have significant varicocele. As to if you're going to impregnate your sexual partner or not, please remember: the result is just saying you have much lower likelihood to conceive, not 100% yes or no. ...Read more
What are the odds of having sperm due to obstruction/severe oligospermia if azospermia found in semen analysis x2? Statistically speaking.
Here are some ...: If the diagnosis of azoospermia is clinically confirmed, its guaranty to be infertile should be better than any available contraceptive measures, which have been known never being 100%. As to "Statistically speaking", I couldn't find and don't believe any studies done to specifically answer your question. ...Read more
Sperm analysis: volume=5ml, total sperm count=66million, active=55%, sluggish=20%, non motil=25%, pus cells=many, epithilial cells=8---10 is this normal?
PH is 8.5,Pus cells are 6-8/HPF, Pro.Motile:20%, Non Pro.Motile:35%,Non motile:45%, Count:43MM/ml in my semen analysis report. should I take medicine?
I'm not sure how: much help I can be as the terms in your report are not the same as typically used here in the US.First, I don't see a volume report...how many ml was in the sample. I don't know if "pro-motile" is the only category that should be considered motile...if so, it is low. The count is good. Infection should be considered with 6-8 pus cells/HPF. Best to review with your Doc and follow recommendation:) ...Read more
Total motile sperm 63 mil with 80% normal morphology and 30% motility is that good? Does total motile sperm count matter more than individual readings
Good: Those numbers are all good; better than average. Usually total motile normal is more important than individual parameters, but sometimes an individual number will rule if it is significantly out of the normal range. ...Read more
