What Am I Suppose To Eat After The Removal Of My Gallbladder
The gallbladder is a sac-like structure located under the right lobe of the liver. It is attached to the common bile duct via the cystic duct. I have a gallstone and my surgeon advised me that I must remove my gall bladder. Is this the only way? What happens after surgery?
Agree: I would agree that you need to have the stone and gallbladder removed. Its usually done laparoscopic and therefore its not such a big operation. Gallstones cannot be disolved or treated in any other way. Leaving it can cause symptoms and can ultimately lead to complications. You can live normally after removal, and it mostly doesn't affect you after such a removal. ...Read more

I had my gallbladder removed aprox. 3 years ago, and every time i eat I have to go to the bathroom. I have no clue what is going on.?
Diarrhea?: After the gallbladder is removed the bile flows into the intestine on a continual basis. This causes irritation and frequent trips to bathroom. I recommend my patients to adhere to a low fat diet for 4-6 weeks after gallbladder surgery to give the body a chance to adapt to lack of gall bladder. ...Read more
I am on the implanon birth control an I was wondering how come I keep having cramping in my stomach I wanted to know where is this coming from?
Depends on your: Symptoms. If you have no or minimal pain, then you can wait. Conversely, if you have severe pain, you should have surgery. These days it is laparoscopic surgery, in and out the day of operation, or at most the day after. If you are a good surgical and anesthetic risk, you should sail through the operation. One week at home, and you will be better than new. ...Read more

How soon can I have a body lift after my gastric bypass? I just had a gastric bypass done three months ago and I am starting to feel great. However, i now have this excess skin, especially in my abdominal region. I am anxious to get started on the next st
You : You generally want your weight to be stable over a fair amount of time. I prefer at least 1 to 1.5 years after bypass before considering skin reduction surgery. Often times after losing a large amount of weight and recovery from the bypass, patients become more active and lose further weight and body fat that isn't seen initially. There can also be variations of your own schedule [e.g., season, work load, etc] that you won't see until you can see that you have plateaued for remain at that level. Hope this helps. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Very common: It is more the rule than the exception, especially in the elderly, for patients to have some degree of short-term memory loss and gaps in their recall of events during the hospitalization period after a major surgical procedure (aka postoperative cognitive dysfunction). This is largely due to both the anesthetics used during the surgery and the narcotic pain medications (e.G, dilaudid) post-op. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Hi i just had gallbladder removed one year ago i want to know what to eat and don, t eat after it removed thanks I am on diat?

The gallbladder does not make bile, and all the bile your liver makes is still there and still enters the GI tract. Of course, i recommend a balanced diet, but go ahead and enjoy your favorite fatty treat on occasion. Good luck. ...Read more
