What Alcohol Makes You Least Bloated
High liver count due to alochol, now normal. Had 2 days of alcohol after that. Test 2 days later normal. But weird bloated feeling. Enlarged?
Liver and Alcohol: This is very consistent to the damage that can be done by alcohol and how the liver can bounce back. But, abusing your liver again makes me wonder how many times you will get away with experimenting with it's health. The second set of labs after drinking for two days may very well have been too early for accuracy. The bloating and swollen liver is exactly what should be happening. ...Read more
Drink a lot wether thirsty or not! All diet soda & 1Powerade qday NO alcohol!! I have mg/anxiety/anxious/tired/weak/bloated/inactive. All labs normal?
I assume you have: Ruled out any medical condition that would cause excessive thirst (labs normal so no diabetes?). The drinks you described all have a stimulant effect, which probably accounts for the symptoms you report (anxiety, then tired, weak, bloated, etc.). Try drinking just plain, filtered water, exercising and eating well for a week. Better? Or, are you self-medicating for something else? ...Read more

"Alcohol infection"?: There are lots of reasons for abdominal discomfort & bloating, & not all of them are due to the GI tract. Even "functional" syndromes may be present without underlying "disease." however psbo (paralyzed gut) due to metabolic & inflammatory conditions nearby (like an untreated infection of the urinary tract)must be considered & addressed. Check with your doctor for examination & treatment options. ...Read more
I was drinking alcohol almost everyday last week, march break. Now this whole week im extremely bloated, & having stomach troubles. Does this relate?
There is a relation: Alcohol is bad for the GI system. Alcohol can cause an erosive gastritis. It wipes out the microvillus border resulting in diarrhea and malabsorption with long term use. Also, alcohol is toxic to the liver resulting in a progression from fatty change to hepatitis to cirrhosis. Your body is telling you that you have consumed something unhealthy for you. ...Read more
Spent 5 days binge drinking with a day in between each had about 100-160 units of alcohol now my stomach feels bloated/swollen haven't drank for 2days?
Give it more time: It can take several days for complete recovery from a binge. A word of warning: it sounds like you are addicted to alcohol. Don't kid yourself into believing that somehow binge drinking is OK and doesn't count as alcohol dependency just because of time between binges. You are at high risk for all the psychological and physical ravages of alcoholism. Don't screw around with this. Good luck! ...Read more
Not methanol: The only drinking alcohol is ethyl alcohol and this is what is contained in most potable beverages. It is not so much the type of drink you are using as it is the amount of ethanol you are consuming on a regular basis. Alcohol is generally harmful only when used to excess. A bottle of beer usually contains about the same amount of etoh as a shot of whiskey. ...Read more
Why do you ask?: The danger comes from the amount of ethanol you take in. If sounds to me as if someone is putting pressure on you to drink and that you don't want to. Good for you. Of the alcoholic beverages, beer and wine are less associated with people actually drinking to get drunk, which hopefully isn't something you'll want to do often. I used to ask for a 'virgin mary' -- looks like alcohol but isn't. ...Read more
