BM 15 minutes after eating broccoli, there was regular long brown stool and a pile of dark green/black unformed stool, not watery. Broccoli culprit?
Unlikely: It is unlikely that the broccoli had even made it out of your stomach at that point let alone through the rest of your digestive tract. BM probably unrelated. ...Read more
1 month old, formula feed infant has dark green poop that smells like skunk (sometimes stringy looking)...baby is gassy as well. Is this normal?
Could be: The first thing I would want to make sure is that your child is gaining weight appropriately and thriving. If that is the case, there are numerous things that could be of help, such as different formulas. That decision can be best made with your child's doctor who will know what formula your child is and/or has been on. Good luck. ...Read more

Possible infection: Hi there! This is the time of year when many children get "gastroenteritis" which is an infection of the digestive tract. The key here is to make sure she is keeping well-hydrated, even if she isn't eating well. You can give water, 50/50 mix of gatorade/water, or pedialyte. If she develops lethargy, bloody diarrhea or persistent high fever, she needs to she her regular doctor right away. ...Read more

Old food: 4 days of a clear liquid diet results in no residual non absorbable products in small intestine. HYDRATE: I suspect you are under hydrated. The colon's function is to pull excess fluid from the body waste. If you are under hydrated, your stool will become very firm.
