Neck tension can be caused just by your anxiety so talking thru their diagnositic clarification can help you understand what you have and how to treat it. M?: 5 yrs of constant tension - truer if you know some is in your neck - certainly can result in balance/vision disturbances. Proper oxygen, blood and nerve impulse supply, etc. is thrown off balance so you are too. Ask your therapist to target anxiety mgmt or for a referral to a CBT anxiety specialist. Poss. Mild vertigo: Chronic mild vertigo can last for years. All test resuls can be normal. Anxiety diagnosis is given based on normal test results. Probably not a cause: The need for astigmatism correction will not cause any symptom except blurred vision. WEARING the correction in glasses is another issue. People can get a lightheaded or swimming sensation and possibly distortion of vision with certain types of glasses prescriptions. Have you consulted: with a neurologist? That is a must. The weird lightheaded feeling with swaying could be a complex partial seizure, and/or pseudoseizure and/or panic attack. Time to get an EEG. Light headedness: I'm not sure what your question is. You are reporting a sensation of motion for which you were evaluated by ENT and no vestibular pathology was suspected. Why were you seen " a lot" by ENT.
