I am taking metoprol for high blood pressure. I am also taking lipodrene, which is a weight loss pill. Are there any interactions for these meds?

Who knows?: Since lipodrene is a worthless (and? Dangerous) internet scam, no one knows what's in it or what it could interact with. Stick with your doctor's recommendations. Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or internet scams.

My mom, 57, diabetic, high blood pressure, and lung disorder (histiocytosis) wants to lose weight due to medicine. Is slim quick or Alli okay?

No easy fix: A diabetic is unwise to get involved with "pop" / "weird" / "cult" diets without close supervision by a physician. Sensible eating habits and regular exercise would be a much wiser course.

How bad are can soup for high blood pressure and diabetics?

Please Clarify: I would bet this question has a thousand different answers. There are a thousand different kinds of soups and a million different patients with different issues if they have hypertension and/ or diabetes. It is best to be specific. If your physician advises low sodium then canned soup is probably out of the question. If you have diabetes you very well may be advised to avoid carbohydrates.

I want to loose 25lbs. I have high blood pressure, will weight watchers be the easiest way? Maybe taking a weight loss supplement? Safest supplemnt?

Old fashioned: There is really no supplement, magic pill or system for weight loss. Although weigh watchers seems to work well, according to evidence-based trials, the cheapest and best way to lose weight is the old fashioned way: eat less calories than you expend. That is, plenty of fruits, vegetables, and high quality proteins like fish, nuts and beans, and find physical activities that you like.

For someone with congestive heart failure due to high blood pressure and obesity (no plaque buildup), what's a healthy and safe rate to lose weight?

For someone with congestive heart failure due to high blood pressure and obesity (no plaque buildup), what's a healthy and safe rate to lose weight?

Safe weight loss: Most weight loss in the first days after treatment of congestive heart failure is water weight and may result in several pounds per day. Once your doctor determines you are at normal body water, you can begin to lose fat weight, and most recommendations limit this weight loss to 1-2 pounds per week to avoid vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
