Week 27 Pregnancy Baby Position
I am 40 years old expecting my fifth baby all four babies delivered normally ihave 23 wksof pregnancy my baby position is not ideal it is vertical?
Confusing question: Babies are usually carried in a vertical position. Do you mean bottom first? If so there is a chance that surgical delivery would be safer for a big baby. Yet you do have quite a while for baby to turn head down. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

Breech presentation: At 35-36 weeks there is still time for your baby to flip and become cephalic (head first). However after 38 weeks or so, it is very unlikely that your baby will flip. If your baby is breech at that time, a c-section is usually scheduled. ...Read more

I am petite 5, 3 inches and pregnant with twins and 12th week of my pregnancy and not showing yet are my babies ok? 9 week ultasound showed both baby
It's OK: You are just through the first trimester. Even with twins, they are still very tiny at this point. Perhaps your uterus tips back just a little bit, so you won't show as early. I have no doubts you will start to get big very soon. With a twin pregnancy, they'll be watching you closely and making sure the babies are growing fine. Enjoy another week or two until you start getting big! ...Read more

My longtime childhood friend is currently 26 weeks pregnant She has been using meth on and off her whole pregnancy! She wants to know if she stops now if it will show in the babies system when delivered?
If I look: If she stops, it is healthier for her & the baby may actually survive the pregnancy. If mom draws attention to herself by being a known user, having drugie friends visit or for other reasons the Child & Family Services people have her on their radar she will have trouble. I can find evidence of any drug exposure in baby back to about 20 wks. If she gets clean & stays clean they may not look. ...Read more

See hematologist: You should see a hematologist for further evaluation. There are many causes of thrombocytopenia- or low platelets. See a hematologist for a careful history and examination. You could have an autoimmune condition called immune thrombocytopenic purpura- however, other causes have to be ruled out as well that would include pregnancy related thrombocytopenia, vitamin deficiency, other things. Not really.: Monochorionic monoamniotic pregnancies are extremely rare (<1% of all twins) and very complicated because fetal demise (of one or both twins) can occur without any warning from umbilical cord entanglement. You may be referring to the "protection" from ttts (twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome) in mono/mono twins; this is indeed true, however the risks above trump that benefit. ...Read more

Pregnancy: You can't choose your babies size. The size of your baby has nothing to do with getting fat during pregnancy. What you should be asking is, what is the best way to eat to get a healthy baby!!!! Get your priorities straight. ...Read more
