Wrist pain: Hand weakness and pain/skin hypersensitivity raises concern for peripheral compressive neuropathy (carpal tunnel and cubital tunnel syndromes), sympathetic nervous system dysfunction, and cervical radiculopathy. I would touch base with your treating orthopedist to discuss the new onset of symptoms. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can someone have lupus even if the only symptom is bilateraljoint pain in hands, shoulder, knees, wrist?(-)rashes, photosensitivity, weakness, fatigue, fever
Of Course; ; Hope No: Lupus erythematosus is a notoriously variable disease process, from person to person ; time to time. Since which portions of their body the person's immune system is currently targeting, ; to what degree, varies widely, the consequences also vary widely. My grandmother is feeling intermittent weakness and pain in hand and knee joints..Are they symptoms of any problem or jst old age...P.S.- she is 80.
My left hand and leg feel like they're weak but i'm not losing any strength. It feels off though. What is this symptom called and what could cause it?
Symptoms: acute and now constant shoulder pain which lead to swelling in my hand, discolouration and weakness. Could this be a rotator cuff injury?
Maybe: The description of your symptoms is not a common presentation for a rotator cuff problem. The first thing that comes to my mind with this description is a vascular issue. I think of things like upper extremity deep venous thrombosis and thoracic outlet syndrome. I would have this issue evaluated by a primary care provider soon. ...Read more
Can elbow tendonitis cause weakness in hand and arm? Experiencing these symptoms after taking time off gym over 2 months. MRI came back normal
FreaknessOfWeakness: Not directly. But any significant pain in an area of such frequent use (i.e. the elbow joint) will cause compensatory motions that tend to decrease the overall work load. This can be almost imperceptible but adds up over time, especially if you ditch gym for two months. This is where physical therapy could help: a program of specific graded exercises to get you back in shape with minimal pain. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Have suspected ms, muscle weakness in left lower arm and hand gets worse thru the day but ok at night. Ms symptom or something else? Ms not confirmed.
Here is an approach: First, be certain that problems in left arm are not associated with nerve compression at wrist, elbow, shoulder, or neck. An EMG study will certainly help. Secondly, mri's of both brain and spinal cord may be helpful, and spinal fluid analysis can also be needed. If your current doctors are unsure, get a second opinion at a nearby medical school. Unlikely, but maybe a myasthenic problem exists. ...Read more
If I have Right periventricular white matter likely Gliosis can I have symptoms of hand weakness and foot on the same side if it's MS?
No: Doesn't matter whether it's MS or anything else: stroke, tumor, anything: ANY lesion in the right hemisphere causes signs & symptoms on the left. Exceptions are a few left-handers & a VERY tiny proportion of right-handers. Southpaws have either left hemisphere dominance just like righties, or they have so-called mixed dominance. True right hemisphere dominance is exceedingly rare. ...Read more

Blood results come back ANA 640h, lymphocytecount 1.3 and iron 4, symptoms hand and arms weakness and joint pain, tired all the time.
More than one issue: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, you seem to have more than one issue. One being deficiency of iron that is easily correctable with oral iron. However the ANA at 640 deserves further investigation that can only be done in-person. Please follow your doctor's advice ...Read more

Time frame: Depending on the extent of the wrist fracture and which bones are involved you are looking at a minimum of 6-8 weeks. I fractured my right wrist on April 21, still in severe pain, although healing. Orthopedic doctor told me at my age ( 69) I am looking at 12-14 weeks ( fracture of distal radius and ulna.
