Abnormal labs: The potassium is elevated. I would follow back with your doctor. This could be a falsely elevated level due to cell hemolysis. If this is truly elevated, you would need evaluation and treatment. ...Read more

Rbc count, WBC count, platelet count, RBC index, WBC differential count, hb, hct all blood test normal. Facing bleeding gum problem recently. Opinion?

Not blood's fault: If CBC normal as you say, more likely due to a change in the oral environment/ dental hygiene. Consider this to see if any change in brush/floss frequency or duration, change in tobacco or alcohol product use, or change in life stressors. In the interim, be sure you are brushing twice daily and flossing daily--this should stop bleeding--if not, consult dentist for exam and advice. ...Read more

Just keep the follow up and see what the doctors will tell you, although it points towards a hematological disorder, so ultimately a hematologist had to be on board, goodluck ...Read more

Hi my blood tests results are
basophils absolute 150 h normal range 0-120
.lymphocytes absolute 4390 h reference range 1000-3850
, monotype absolute?

That's fine: Reference ranges are set so that a few percent of healthies fall outside on either on either end. Your lymphocytes and basophils were on extra patrol that day. Relax and be glad they're working for you ...Read more

I have high platelets, low MPV, low lymphocyte percentage, low MCH, high segmented neutrophils, high atypical lympcytes, high reticulocyte count?

I have high platelets, low MPV, low lymphocyte percentage, low MCH, high segmented neutrophils, high atypical lympcytes, high reticulocyte count?

Any symptoms?: Why did you have these tests done? All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, it would have helped to have the actual values rather than your interpretation of high and low. It would prudent to discuss it with the doctor who ordered the tests. For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine. ...Read more

Is 48.8% neutrophils and absolute lymphocyte count 3.69 K?ul alarming

Is 48.8% neutrophils and absolute lymphocyte count 3.69 K?ul alarming

Not enough info: A blood count is only meaningful in the context of what is happening in the way of symptoms and signs of medical problems. It can be affected by medicines, infections (both vial and bacterial) and a host of other issues. The isolated information that you provided isn't alarmiing and really isn't meaningful all by itself. ...Read more

My wbc4.7, rbc4.18, hemoglobin 13.4, hematocrit39.5, mcv94.6, MCH 32.0, mchc33.8, rdw14.7, platelet count 219, absolute neutrophil ct122, segs26, is this bad?

How are you feeling?: Any fever, infections? Good news: you do not have anemia. Platelet count is also normal. Total white cells number is acceptable. I believe that you made a mistake in absolute neutrophil ? The % neutrophil (seg) is 26, lower than normal. As long as you do not have fever& free from infections, you are safe. Consult with hematologist. Do not worry. Simple problem.. Can be easily handled. Thanks. ...Read more

Neutrophils 77 slightly out of range but absolute neutrophils normal. Why elevated neutrophil level on the one blood test?

Totally meaningless: If the absolute values are in reference range, ignore it totally. I wish labs wouldn't even report these percentages. And reference ranges themselves are set up so that several percent of healthy people fall outside. A short swim in cold water can triple your neutrophil count. Don't treat labs -- look at people. ...Read more

High wbc, low hematocrit, low mcv, low mch, high platelet count, low lymphocytes and monocytes - what does this all mean?

Hard to say...: It sounds like it may be an infection but it's impossible to say without more information including if you have any other signs or symptoms. 4yr old daughter with CBC levels- wbc11.6 rbc4.62 hemoglobin 12.6 mch-27.2 platelets 420 lymphocytes57.7 neutrophils33 basoph-1.0 abs lymphocytes6.68?

Normal values: I'm not sure what your question is, but all of these values are completely normal for a 4 y/o. White blood cell count (WBC) is normal as is the differential count which indicates different types of white blood cells present. Not anemic and red blood cells normal amount of hemoglobin (mch). Platelets in normal range so right number to clot blood and not too high which can indicate inflammation. ...Read more

What does platelet volume reference range mean?

Range of normals: Platelet volume reference range is the range in size of platelets in a normal population of people. A "reference range" is also called the "range of normal" or "normal limits", indicating that if you are in that "range, " you are presumed also to be normal. Certain diseases are associated with large platelets (itp, or myeloproliferative disorders), and some with small platelets (iron deficiency). ...Read more
