Patience: If your period is due and you are not pregnant, it will probably start soon. Some variation in cycle length is common and normal. If you have conceived - the pregnancy test will be positive by the time your period is due. If your period does not start in a couple days - check a pregnancy test. ...Read more

Anovulatory bleeding: Pregnancy is always on the list of possibilities when a woman has abnormal uterine bleeding or cycles. Hi. I'm 16, and today I started my period. I normally have heavy flow the first day, but this time it is very thin and watery. I'm really scared.
Change in cycle flow: If you are not sexually active, I wouldn't worry. If nothing else in your health has changed, it could be stress or most likely nothing. If the flow for the whole cycle is different, wait a couple more cycles to see what is going on. Often, you can have slight change like that with your period every now and then. If the pattern has changed after 3 periods, you can see your doctor. ...Read more

Take a test: If you're period is late and you are sexually active, consider taking a home pregnancy test to make sure you're not pregnant. Otherwise, this delay is likely due to hormones, thyroid or changes in weight (thin/heavy). Discharge doesn't signal anything at this point in time. Thin is usually mid-cycle, but it doesn't sound like you are mid-cycle. ...Read more
