At your age, it is unlikely to be anything more significant. I sometimes see bright red blood on my toilet paper after passing stool and now it more frequently stings when I pee.
Blood: There may be hemorrhoids or a rectal fissure. Inflammation of the colon is less likely. Rectal blood is abnormal and should be evaluated by a physician. Fissure: Clinical lesions of the anal canal or perianal area present as an ulcerating lesion. While it is true that as stoll passes such lesions blood may be seen but excess blood usually from a benign source. Should get evaulated: Being a 26 y/o female, it is likely that you have irritable bowel syndrome and with the frequent loose stools can cause significant anal/perianal irritation, at times bleeding from it. If you have been having symptoms for yrs, ibs is likley. If this is new, something else maybe causing your symptoms such as ulcerative colitis etc..I recommend consulting your doc for an eval.
