Water In Ear Can T Hear
Had a hard slap to the ear, when I went to bed it ruptured and bled, can't hear well feels like I'm under water, what to do?
Ear Trauma: Greetings. I think that the hard slap you sustained to your ear resulted in the ear drum rupture. This would explain your hearing loss and bleeding from the ear. Best recommendations are to avoid water exposure, sneeze with your mouth open and try to avoid nose blowing. Fortunately most perforations heal fully within about a week. See your ENT doctor for confirmation. ...Read more
My ear stinks (when i clean it during shower i get to know), before sometimes it would secrete water but now it doesn't. I have no problem in hearing.
I took a shower yesterday and water got in my right ear. Today my ear is very sucked up. I can't hear. And I also have a cold. How do I relieve this?
Treat the cold: drainage from the middle ear is likely impaired due to the swelling of the back of your throat. The swelling is caused by the cold you are experiencing. However, I would not advise you on an antibiotic yet- Trying an over- the- counter decongestant may help. Go to your neighborhood drug store and ask your local pharmacist- he or she can suggest to you an appropriate decongestant. ...Read more

I have mono. My ears are stopped up and feel like I have water in them &cant hear good. Is this normal? How do I get relief?
Eustachian tube dsfx: Swelling of tissues of the upper respiratory tract commonly occurs with mono, for instance, tonsils enlarged. These swollen tissues can put pressure on your Eustachian tubes which connect your middle ear and throat. This can then lead o pressure build up and "blocked" ears. Decongestant may help, but also humidity and popping your ears and chewing gum like you're on a plane may help as well. ...Read more
Been waking up with no hearing on left ear for a week. It feels like when you get water inside. No pain or discharge. Should i be concerned?
Yes.: Sudden loss of hearing may be serious, or it may be something as simple as too much wax in your ear, which can easily be removed by your doctor with irritation.. You need to be checked to find out what is causing this, and then you can be given the most appropriate treatment. Never use Q-tips to clean your ears. It can cause the wax to become packed in, or cause an infection. ...Read more
Hello,a gush of water flowed into my ear, it hasnt flowed out yet. now I have hearing problems and minor periodical pain. What can I do avout it?
External Otitis: The water in your ear may have caused a mid case of otitis externa also known as Swimmer's ear. It is not conceivable that the water is still in your ear. The other possibility is that cerumen (wax) was moved around by the water, now causing problems in our ear canal. You should see a physician may be an ENT. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
A few days ago after shower, felt like water was clogging my right ear.Now decreased hearing in right ear and loud ringing. Should I be worried?
No: Water in ear canal should eventually dry out and your hearing should return to normal. However, if this doesn't happen and/or ear becomes painful, prolonged exposure to water can increase risk for outer ear infection or swimmer's ear (http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/swimmers-ear/basics/definition/con-20014723), so go see your Family Doc or ENT for evaluation if symptoms persist. ...Read more
I cleaned my ears with hydroxide and water no q-tips or anything but i feel like one of my ears is congested and i cant really hear anything i can do?
Affected side down.: Tilt your head so that the congested ear is closest to the floor. "Clear your ears" by holding your nose & swallowing, or moving your jaw forward, or simply just waiting & letting gravity take its course. You may feel some of the peroxide water (liquid) run out the ear canal or go down your throat; in either case, your hearing should improve quickly. If it doesn't, there's always your nearby ENT. ...Read more
