You are crazy: If you think that any responsible physician would give you advice that could lead to your death. Injecting pills introduces talc, any number of contaminants, as well as a host of different germs into your venous system. It is dangerous, can lead to death, pulmonary embolism, heart valve infections, brain abscess, bone abscess, pneumonia and many other things. Stop now, get help. ...Read more

Could I die if water was injected into my bloodstream?

Could I die if water was injected into my bloodstream?

Yes: Doctors use sterile water injections into the bloodstream on a regular basis, and this is perfectly safe. However, nonsterile water (tap water) injected into the bloodstream may be contaminated with chemicals and bacteria that could lead to infection and death. Bottom line: let your health care professional do all injections into your bloodstream! ...Read more

Hello. Was just curious as to what would happen to me if I were injected with 10mls of water for injection through my IV line?

Hello. Was just curious as to what would happen to me if I were injected with 10mls of water for injection through my IV line?

Harmful: Infusion of plain water intravenously, even if it's sterile, can potentially cause destruction of your red blood cells(hemolysis), although it would have to be a larger volume to cause severe hemolysis. The destroyed red blood cells cause damage to kidney tubules. Don't mess with your iv line!! ...Read more

Infection risk aside, how much would someone's hgb be lowered (very roughly) from injecting 100ml pure water? Is that a low enough amount to be safe?

Infection risk aside, how much would someone's hgb be lowered (very roughly) from injecting 100ml pure water? Is that a low enough amount to be safe?

Good grief!: Why would you do such a thing? Is this some sort of wacko natural health procedure? The actual reduction in hemoglobin level would be small, but if 100 ml water were rapidly injected, it might cause significant hemolysis (osmotic rupture of red blood cells), which in turn can cause serious problems like kidney damage. In any case, this carries absolutely no health benefit. Don't do it. ...Read more

Venous Stasis: End stage venous stasis disease involves stagnation of the venous blood flow. This results in a pooling of blood in the lower extremities. Iron is deposited into the skin resulting in brown staining of the skin resulting in breakdown of the skin to frank ulceration. The retained water is most likely serous fluid related to build up. Managed BP with medication.Alternate Fasting daily. Exercise regularly:HIIT. How risky/difficult to water fast for 2/3 days? Do I need medical help?

Water Fasting: As a nutritionist I support and believe in the benefits of transient fasting and caloric restriction. Both have been shown to increase life expectancy across species due to reduced metabolic demand. I do not support fasts that trigger a starvation metabolic stress response. You need nutrient calories and your brain needs glucose! A healthy 12 hour fast...stop eating at 8pm and breakfast at 8am! ...Read more
