Shooting or burning sensation in my sinus from inhaling water. What's that?

Shooting or burning sensation in my sinus from inhaling water. What's that?

Hypotonic fluid: The human body fluids all have a certain amount of salt. The fluids in the nose and sinuses have a similar concentration of salt. When plain water goes in the nose it "shocks" the tissues leading to inflammation and discomfort. This does not happen with "saline spray" which contains the ideal amount of salt. ...Read more

When gargling after inhaling symbicort, (budesonide and formoterol) is it enough to gargle with just water?

When gargling after inhaling symbicort, (budesonide and formoterol) is it enough to gargle with just water?

Yes, if no thrush: Rinsing with water after using symbicort (budesonide and formoterol) is sufficient for removing the leftover medication from the mouth after dosing, so that one does not swallow it. If there is evidence of a fungal infection of the cheeks or tongue, then water alone is not sufficient. Please see link to fda site about symbicort (budesonide and formoterol)---http://www. Fda. I keep violantly clearing my throat because of feeling that I have water in my airway. Whatever comes up tastes like water. This is after steam inhal.

Y'all Huntin' Gator?: You say you feel like you are coughing up water after inhaling steam. Steam is vaporized water. When steam decreases in temperature it condenses back to water. Could that be the case in this instance? So, why are you using steam? Need a facial? Got a cold? Asthma? Sinus? Raised in a Louisiana swamp & want to recreate your childhood? Anyways, no harm swallowing water as long as it didn't *begin* in the lungs ...Read more

Managed BP with medication. Alternate Fasting daily. Exercise regularly:HIIT. How risky/difficult to water fast for 2/3 days? Do I need medical help?

Water Fasting: As a nutritionist I support and believe in the benefits of transient fasting and caloric restriction. Both have been shown to increase life expectancy across species due to reduced metabolic demand. I do not support fasts that trigger a starvation metabolic stress response. You need nutrient calories and your brain needs glucose! A healthy 12 hour fast...stop eating at 8pm and breakfast at 8am! ...Read more

What medications help anxiety and retaining water??

Diuretic and SSRI: Those complaints don't sound related, so I would suggest a work up of both symptoms and treatment of them separately. Diuretics are for high BP but also excess fluid. SSRI's are for anxiety and depression.
Hope that helps! ...Read more

Can salt water baths help a woman's pH balance? I am very sensitive so medications always throw my levels off after I am done taking them.

Maybe.: Epsom salt baths can help lots of problems - muscle aches and pains and some wounds. I'm assuming you're speaking of your vaginal ph balance? How many time should a healthy adult, who drinks a lot of water go to the toilet. When do you know for sure its constipation and you need medication?

Hard difficult BM: Constipation is a hard, difficult, painful bowel movement. Drinking a lot of water helps but so would more fiber in your diet. The frequency of the bowel movement is not as important as the consistency and pain associated with the bowel movement. A easily passed bm every three days would not be considered constipation by most mds. ...Read more

Accidentally drank my husband's water w/ vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) in it. When will the medication be completely out of my system so I can nurse again?

That's a tough one,: Because there are so many variables related to the body size & function of the person taking Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) & it depends on the dose.
