Not your fault.: I do not know the whole story, but it would be highly unlikely that anything you might have done could have caused the premature membrane rupture. Broken waters: Usually the risk of not delivering (infection) outweighs the benefits at 35 weeks. Also an attempt to stop labor at 35 weeks with broken waters and 3 cm dilation wouldn't likely work anyway. ...Read more

Sure but: I have seen a few patients come in to the hospital ready to deliver and they did not think they were really that far along. By : By the date of this post about a week has gone by. I hope you and baby are well. I am responding to this question so anyone with a similar situation can benefit. If you are pregnant and your water breaks go to the hospital immediately or call 911 if you need assistance. If your water breaks and you feel fetal parts, call 911 immediately, and call for help from anyone that can come to your aid quickly. A 911 operator can talk to whoever is with you or they can talk to you if you are alone. They will give you step by step instructions until the paramedics arrive. Take good care. ...Read more
