Pinworm: Treatment is 2 doses: day 1 and repeat after 1 week. Adult female worm lays eggs on perianal skin at night, this causes itching. As the person scratches the area, there is easy spread of eggs on clothes, bed linens, under nails and everywhere. So, wash your hands, all clothes, take shower every morning, don't scratch. Probably not pinworm: Pinworm is almost exclusively found among children ; those associated with them. Pruritus ani is due to fecal soiling. Use a skin lotion such as aveeno (oatmeal) or eucerin on kleenex or bathroom paper to clean the anal skin. Clean inside the anal area. Do it several times a day, especially if you feel wet or itchy or irritated. Always clean this way after a bowel movement. ...Read more
