Wart Or Mole How To Tell The Difference
I noticed my daughter has a wart/mole looking thing on her leg. It's a bump, not flat. It bothers her. What's the difference and how to treat it?
Treatment: Depends on exact diagnosis. Show it to a dermatologist. Impossible to describe all the appearances among different skin lesion here.
Get it examined: There are different types of skin cancer, which have different appearances. In general, any lesion which is getting larger in size is concerning. Ulceration, bleeding and itching are other concerning signs. Pain is usually not present, unless the cancer is large. Melanomas can be identified by the abcd's. I don't have room for that here. Get it checked out by your pcp or dermatologist.See 2 more doctor answers
I've had a 'mole' as long as I can remember. GP said it was nothing to worry about as it was a wart. How can he tell between a wart and a melanoma?
Mole vs wart: Melanoma is an aggressive dangerous form of skin cancer. If something has been sitting on ur skin for sometime without any major changes I wouldn't worry at all. I doubt it's truly a wart because after 2 yrs it should disappear. Probably it is a mole or pigmented skin lesion. U can watch that for changes over the years, and if it changes then do something about it. See a dermatologist if in doubt.See 1 more doctor answer
Wart or Mole: Without seeing the skin lesion in person it is impossible to make a diagnosis. See your local dermatologist for a diagnosis.See 1 more doctor answer
Go to Dermlink: You need a diagnosis before attempting any home remedies which are not risk free. If you can't find a doctor in your area there is a service at dermlink. Com which can assist you in getting an accurate diagnosis
Mole/wart looking growth. I don't know where it came from. No particular shape. Doesn't hurt. Is it a mole or wart?
See dermatologist: There is no way to tell without seeing it. If you haven't seen a dermatologist before, NOW is the time. Your derm will search your skin for similar lesions, and give you instructions on what to do when you see this same kind of lesion in the future. S/he may take a sample of one or more lesions if they look suspicious, like a skin cancer.

Moles growing heads that look like wart seeds looks like 6 blakheads, but brown, growing iut of a small mole
Hard: Hard to tell without a clinical examination, but I wonder if these are possibly seborrheic keratoses? Read more about seborrheic keratoses and see a picture at the link below. I hope that helps!
Removal: Typically if a mole specimen is going to be sent for biopsy, the area is numbed with a tiny needle and then removed with a blade or scalpel. Other treatment includes freezing a wart with liquid nitrogen (stings for a few minutes due to the extreme coldness of the spray). Talk to your physician about all options.
I have recently noticed a small growth on my groin area. I don't know if it's a mole or a wart. Doesn't hurt to touch unless pulled.?
I have notice before a black like bump in my upper vagina but I thoughtit only a mole but I am notice it looks bigger now I worried if its warts?
Vaginal bump: It could be a wart, although these are usually multiple and flesh colored. It is possible (not probable) that this is a skin cancer. You need to have a physician look at it.
I have a wart/mole on back which is flesh coloured and itchy gp says its harmless I am still concerned.
I have an irregular shaped mole or wart on my leg. I have had it for years. Could this be cancer?
Need more details: Most moles are benign and do not change over time. If your' is black or brown and changing in size or color (any growth), then you should get it checked by your doctor who may consider its removal if it is suspected to be a melanoma (in that case it will have mixture of colors, shades of black/brown/tan/red). Take a photograph now and recheck it every 3-6 months and see if there is any change.
Too late for biopsy. Are their any medical test that can be performed to confirm or deny whether the growth was a wart or mole? A blood test or ECT
If it's gone...: If it's all gone, it's all gone... such as losing some skin during a crash on a road bike. If the base of a growth is still there, after the skin heals up, a dermatologist can look at the remaining base. Since this question doesn't say HOW the skin growth was lost, it's hard to guess the circumstances. There isn't a test to tell what MIGHT have been on some missing skin.
I am probably just overreacting, but I am worried that I may have skin cancer. I have a strange looking mole and what looks like a swollen wart. Do I?
I have a mole just under my breast and it kinda looks like a wart shape on top. Hard to describe. But it has never been exposed to the sun. Should iworry?
Probably ok but: You need to have your doctor look at it to be sure. I would let it wait.
Child has a wart/mole on her head she keeps picking at it but it always grows back is this concerning? She is on remicade (infliximab) and methotrexate for JRA
Ask rheumatologist: This could be a nodule related to the JRA. There are other possibilities also. See your rheumatologist and ask if it needs to be removed.
