Probably nerve: Sounds like an intermittent nerve compression. The fact that it is 5-10 seconds and does not stop you from activities, i would guess it is minor; however, pay attention to when it comes and goes to determine what might be triggering it - position, movement or even food. Hard to say: We think of nerve injury, paresthesias, tendonitis or a vascular issue. It is on the top of the foot but does it go into the toes or stay on the top. These are clues. Does anything bring it on? These are sympom to discuss with your physician. ...Read more
