I’m on testosterone replacement therapy. Will asking my dr for finasteride for hair loss offset any gains from supplemental testosterone?
Not exactly: Finasteride prevents the conversion of testosterone to dht. This only occurs in certain tissues (scalp/skin ; prostate). It is thought that too much Dht causes hair loss. Suffering with malignant melanoma and hodgkins lymphoma , i would not advise the taking of any unneeded toxins in the body and Propecia is one of those.
