Daughter rolled ankle inwards(soccer)says it feels like there is a crack on outside of ankle under the ball on the outside of foot, growth plate maybe?
Get an Xray: Go to your doctor. An Xray needs to be done to rule out fracture. Even if the Xray is normal, she probably still needs to be splinted and have a follow up in a week. Growth plate injuries don't always show up on Xray. Your doctor can do a complete exam and get whatever tests are necessary. Hope this helps! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Left foot- I have a painful lump on the inside of my heel & pain running along the outside of foot from mid foot to little toe. What is causing it?
Pain: Without a physical exam , that is extremely difficult to answer. Based on your description i would suspect infracalcaneal bursitis with peroneal tendonitis secondary to plantar fasciitis. I have a 1 1/2" diameter lump on the bottom outside edge of my left foot across from the arch. Feels like walking on a rock - ankle rolls in.?
You need to get : It examined. See a foot doc. Any lump really mandates a biopsy in my eyes. You need to differentiate a benign growth from malignant lesion. Such growths can be ganglion, synovial cyst, plantar fibroma. But for every benign lesion there is a malignant twin and so the risk reward ratio of a biopsy is the right thing to do for definitive diagnosis. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Quit Sloughing off.: Skin sloughing, particularly after a period of immobilization and departure from one's daily bathing routine, is almost a given when the immobilization and swelling end. Heel spur on back of foot &below back of foot. Achilles tendinitis visible bump on the side opposite of the ankle. Been years. Pains unbearable. Help?
Sick Achilles.: Your comments sound like the findings of a previous x-ray exam. I'm not sure what is meant by "bump on the opposite side of the ankle". If it is in the Achilles tendon, then extreme pain, could make sense. It sounds as though there is something amiss with your Achilles tendon. It would make sense to immobilize the ankle, and begin non-weight bearing until tendon imaging studies can be performed ...Read more
