Waking Up With Pain In Chest

Waking up with left side chest pain tat radiates to my left back (under shoulder blade), what can this be caused by? 30yr. Female with lupus.
Chest pain in Lupus: Dear Lupi: Chest pain in a patient with lupus could be from the lungs or the heart. For example, Inflammation of the lung lining is called pleurisy which is a sharp pain and can radiate to the back. But there are also many other possibilities - the heart sac can be inflamed - called pericarditis and can present in the same way. You must see your physician for a thorough physical exam. Nisha

Rapid pulse and chest pain upon waking lasted 5-10 min. I have had this in past with clean holtor. I have pots. Is this something to worry or anxiety?
Likely due to POTS.: If you have had a clear holter, then I suspect this is due to your pots. It does not sound like a panic attack, and generalized anxiety is nagging long-term anxiety. It is not in a social setting, so it is not social anxiety, and you don't mention trauma, so unlikely to be ptsd. It is not an obsession or compulsion, so it sounds like pots with worry due to the pots symptoms. Talk to your pots doc.

Muscle spasm: If she works her fingers into the neck and shoulder muscles, she should be able to feel the area (s) that are tight. Working the fingers in a circular motion over the areas tight should help loosen things up.See 1 more doctor answer

Yes, but: These symptoms could also be more serious. These symptoms could be due to clot in the pulmonary arteries (pulmonary embolism) or abnormal blood flow to the heart. The additional patient information listed with your question implies recent workup with d-dimer, ECG and chest xr, so maybe you have already been seen. If you have not yet, please see your doctor or go to the emergency department.See 1 more doctor answer
Help. I have been waking up with shortness of breath, a racing heart, chest pain, and head pressure. What does that mean? And, what should I do?
Cough, sneezing, chest pain, nauseated, headache, dizziness, 96 temp, 77 heartrate, extremely tired, cold sweats waking up. All for more than a week.
Viral illness?: Sounds like it could be a viral illness. If you're concerned, see your primary care provider soon for a more complete evaluation. Use your best judgment as to whether or not you can wait until next week. Viral illnesses tend to run their course in 7-14 days. Hope this helps!
Ekg was clear: heart palps waking me, can't sleep, chest pain, SOB, general fatigue and aches, sense of impending doom. Whatbis the next step to take?
Next: Broaden view.: EKG only shows heart electrical activity, not causes. Yes the changes in heart rate & strength of beat may be involved in your waking up with symptoms, yet neither are CAUSES, only symptoms/results of internal autonomic activity which split-second regulate heart/body functions 24/7. Autonomic activity=mind/brain control extending into body. Fears/Terrors in dreams (amnesia on awakening)=cause.
Been waking with blueish lips. Yesterday had skipped Heart B & mild aching on/off chest pain. My pulse lately in 40s on waking, should I ask for ecg?
See doctor ASAP: Bluish lip warrants review with your Doctor and probably review with a cardiologist too to rule out cyanotic heart disease. Please don't ignore this.See 1 more doctor answer
Could an eloctrolyte inbalance (potassium is high and others are borderline) be causing chest pain, headache, +waking at night because of pounding ❤️?
May be: High potassium could be dangerous and can cause arrhythmia's. To begin with it can cause some extra beats or palpitations. Rarely it causes chest pain. Extra peat or palpitations could sometime be misinterpreted as chest pain. But you should go to pcp, get your electrolytes checked and evaluated for chest pain.See 1 more doctor answer
