Waking Up To Sternum Soreness
Can pain in my sternum be caused by stress from the day before? It's not severe. Just sore like. P.S. I'm not sick, no coughing or anything
I've been experiencing soreness on the left side of my sternum for about 10 days. It is sometimes made worse by lifting objects.
Yes......: Coughing can result in musculoskeletal pain, including sternal pain. But, if the sternal pain is present when you're not coughing, it could be heart-related which requires an er visit. Every so often l I wake up and my sternum is extremely sore and inflamed and it is difficult to move & hurts to take deep breaths. What can this be?

Hmmm hypermobility?: Of your sternum. It might be normal to have some crepitus. Rib soreness can be from costochondritis. You are young. It is unlikely to be infection or tumor.
