What do you mean by: Safely? There have not been any drug-drug interaction studies with Linzess as yet. There is a risk of serotonergic syndrome with combining guaifenesin, phenylnephrine, Cymbalta (duloxetine) and Vyvance. Ambien is for occasional use. I would not combine it with Valium. One side effect is psychosis. Another one is depression. Anxiety and insomnia are common side-effects. It can cause high blood pressure. Weight loss is common. Not usually: Not usually but if you suddenly stop taking it after being on it for a while some patients may get a jittery feeling due to a withdrawal effect. Yes: The studies would suggest not, but my experience with patients says yes. Ambien (zolpidem) only treats difficulty falling asleep which can be due to many problems. It doesn't treat the underlying cause, eg depression, anxiety, adhd, drug abuse etc. You need to treat the underlying cause otherwise Ambien (zolpidem) will either not work or make the problem worse. ...Read more
