Assuming normal heart, liver & kidney function, the elimination half-life (time for blood concentrations to halve) for Simvastatin is <2 hrs & ezetimibe ~22 hrs. Generally, about 5 half-lives (i.e. 5 x 0.5) is enough that little to no biologic activity persists.
