No: Humidified air will help if nose congested and runny. I would try and use distilled water, keep a distance away as per the gadgets instructions. Should be regularly cleaned. A tent aparatus made with towels or sheets over the head end of the crib with humidifier on the right height chair pointed under the tent will allow good humidity without being too close to baby.
