Not bile: Technically, there can be no bile in the emesis of a patient with pyloric stenosis. The pylorus is the muscular valve that controls exit of contents from the stomach. When the pylorus is stenotic, it is virtually closed, and the patient vomits out all gastric contents. Bile enters the GI tract in the duodenum downstream from the pylorus and stomach, so it can't be in the emesis of such a patient. ...Read more
Is vomiting bile I think its called (a greenish yellow liquid common to come out first if dehydration is the problem?

Bile is always a: Concern. If it truly was bile, you need to take your child to er. On the other hand, it may just be choice of word. Sounds like your child is irritated by the thick mucus behind the throat, which got worst with the milk. Thick mucus caused your child to gag and eventually vomited the " yellow bile" you described. Yellow mucus: Certainly your body is putting up a fight - and that's a good thing. When this happens, mucus can change from clear to other colors. Inflammatory cells are busy fighting bacteria (and sometimes viruses) and the 'dead soldiers' will be left behind as a pus-like material -- hence 'yellow snot'. Good to try and keep this stuff coming out. Hydrating well will help your body get rid of this stuff. ...Read more
