Many things: Anytime a child has symptoms for that long, i think getting a good history and exam is important. Not having other symptoms is good, but nausea can have many causes. It can be from infection, medication, allergy, anxiety, reflux disease, gluten/lactose issues and so on. Best to sit down and explore thoroughly with a provider you trust. ...Read more

Abdominal bloating,: May be unusual intestinal virus or could be food poisoning with camphylobacter as that has a waxing and waning presentation( usually diarrhea as well) . Do you have diarrhea? Could light vomiting/nausea + intense headache, light chestpain and flu like symptoms be dangerous?

Could be dangerous: A person with an "intense headache" with flu-like symptoms sounds worrisome because he could have the real flu or could have a type of meningitis. A doctor's evaluation is needed to decide on treatment. Chest pain is always worrisome because it could be heart pain in some people. Testing to rule out heart pain can be done at an E.R. Or at properly equipped doctors' offices. ...Read more

I have been having giddiness, headache on & off for 2 weeks. No cough, flu symptoms. My GP cannot diagnose anything. I am concern of serious illness?

Usually a good sign: As a neurologist used to seeing really nasty stuff- I'd say NOT being able to find anything after a couple of weeks is usually a good sign. Nevertheless, I understand your air of caution. Perhaps, you should keep track of ALL SYMPTOMS on a log. Sometimes, this leads to patterns that your GP can better recognize and organize into something treatable. Make sure you're not overusing OTC meds. ...Read more

Sleeping a lot have eaten but now can't stop vomiting. No fever, chills, or flu symptoms. Scared and thinking may have a serious issue. ER or no?

I would if I were U: The vomiting reflex is controlled by two units in the brain medulla--one receives nerve impulses from the GI tract, the other is a chemical receptor. Both have nerve connections to not only the GI tract (pharynx, mesenteric vessels, bile ducts) but also from brain corticobulbar areas that mediate smells, sights, &taste. Thus, vomiting apparatus responds to a variety of GI & brain inputs. ...Read more
