My 6 yr old son had the flu 2 weeks ago. Now he has a bad cough, vomiting and mild fever. Should i take him to the er?He's been sick too long.?

Tallulah has been very fussy, has cool feeling arm and leg, moderate diarrhea, vomiting, mild chest congest but no temp, still eating and taking bottl?
Prob okay...: It's very important to distinguish between vomiting and spitting up. If baby is still taking the bottle then I would be slightly more reassured. The absence of fever is also a good sign. Babies can have changes in the consistency of their stool, so if it's looser than normal it may still be ok. If baby is feeding, still making multiple wet diapers and without fever, I'd be less worried. ...Read more

I have long time post prandial reflux whre food/liquid comes up w/ burp.GP Rx PPi's . Its helping mostly but mild nausea/wet burp, gas is still thre. No vomiting, mild pinching pain in gastric area sometime. Blood HB/Panc profile ok. Is it Gastric CA?
Very unlikely: It sounds like you are on the right track. The PPIs have helped, but you still have some residual reflux symptoms. This is common and may be improved by diet or other lifestyle approaches (elevate head of bed, etc). However, with persistent symptoms you should have an upper endoscopy (EGD) to assess the esophagus and stomach on treatment, and this procedure would also screen for gastric cancer. ...Read more
