Possibly blood: Unless you ate something that would have been a similar color, purplish black material in your vomit may well be blood from an ulcer or other source of 'upper GI' bleeding. Black licorice or: Any other food can make one vomit if eaten in excess. Black licorice can also raise your blood pressure. Somewhat concerning: What's concerning is the dark brown and more so black. If you ate something that may look like that, then it's less concerning - though not too many people eat things that are black! . Not entirely sure: Not clear what this is, but it is quite unusual sounding and vomiting undigested food from 3+ days ago is not a good sign - b/c it means you have not processed any food in 3+ days. Concern would be an obstruction somewhere, but must be evaluated in conjunction with other sign/symptoms and findings on exam.
