Voltaren Nonsteroidal Anti Inflammatory Cream
Which anti-inflammatory is more effective for hallux pain - voltaren, exxiv (etoricoxib), ipobrufen, arthrotec, (diclofenac and misoprostol) other? Uric acid is normal, no swell.
Diclofenac is in a class of drugs known as nsaids (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs). Ibuprofen is also in this class. These drugs inhibit enzymes (cox 1 and cox 2) which are important in producing a prostaglandin e1. Prostaglandin e1 is responsible for producing inflammation ...Read more
I have decreased kidney function. I require anti-inflammatory RX strength drugs. Which is better choice for my kidneys? NSAIDS or Corticosteroids?
Loaded...: You need to discuss your current medication regimen with a Nephrologist (kidney specialist) or qualified Internist or Family Physician. The Lamictal may be causing aches and pains in and of itself. And it may also affect kidney function. I don't think I would recommend any intervention (NSAID, Corticosteroid) until your medical history is fully taken into account. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
If aspirin is anti-inflammatory, why doesn't it lower CRP blood levels? Or does it? What about other NSAIDS? Thx
One or the other: It`s unnecessary and not advisable. Oral NASAIDS get into most tissues-local sprays are local but with some small systemic absorption. Don`t do both. ...Read more

Would you recommend surgery for severe medial epicondylitis.? I have tried cortisone, art therapy, aleve, (naproxen) voltaren cream, and rest for the last 2 mo
Other treatments: Lateral (tennis elbow) or medial (golfer's elbow) epicondylitis are common overuse injuries. In order to treat the pain, i recommend patients start w/ rice, follow w/ stretching/ strengthening (therapy), & consider couterforce bracing. If these treatments fail you may be a candidate for cortisone or prp injections. Some people end up needing surgery.. http://drmarkgalland.com/category/elbow/. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Does a pain reliever cream wont give gastro problem unlike taking an oral NSAIDs? I have a very painful scoliosis and been taking NSAID for 2 years nw
NSAID cream effects: It depends on how much of the medication is absorbed into the blood and the base that the medication is in. It is possible to get as much NSAID into the blood with a cream as an oral NSAID. Then you could potentially have similar side effects. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Are all nsaids drugs forbidden when kidneys are damaged with chronic kidney disease, meaning that only corticoid might be given against inflammatory ?
It depends: I see that you have both polycystic kidney disease and an enthesopathy, the latter being an illness for which the nsaids are extremely valuable. I have little use for "cookbook medicine" ("people with ___ can't take ___"). Your physician will explain the risks and benefits (relief from pain, you must stay well-hydrated) to using nsaids in our situation. ...Read more

See below: Planter fasciitis stretching exercises first thing before you get out of bed in the morning is helpful with a roll towel or sheet. A Dixie cup with frozen ice and then peel off the outside covering and you can roll that on the inside of your foot is helpful as well. Continue daily stretching exercises wearing your orthotic. ...Read more
