Vivelle Dot Medication
Yes: Generic versions of medications are usually fine, but they are not identical. The fda allows for a modest degree of difference in "bioequivalence". Essentially, a generic medication is allowed to be sold if it is between 80% - 125% of the brand name medication. Most generic medications are fine for most people, but there is always some percentage of patients for whom they are different. ...Read more

Common misunderstanding that TH includes removing ovaries - this is not true, as it only refers to removing whole uterus. If ovaries removed too then stop pelvic ...Read more

I am on my second patch of vivelle (estradiol) dot 0.0375 and I feel slightly less brain fog but I still get small flashes. Should I go up to 0.5?
Probably not: Eliminating all hot flashes is quite often impossible no matter how high you go on the dose. Aiming for 80-90% resolution is good. ERT: All Estrogens can increase your risk of heart attack and stroke slightly even vivelle (estradiol) dot, which is an estrodial patch. It is trans dermal so all the negative aspects of oral estrogen are avoided. It comes in several strengths so the dosage can be tailored to the patient. Bad? Sticky residue left on abdomen and occasional allergic reaction to the glue. Both worth it given the alternatives. ...Read more
