Absolutely: First of all our soils are depleted and no longer contain the same nutrients that were available to us as little as 30 yr ago. To further complicate matters we are a "processed food" society. The more you process a food the more nutrients you deplete. Then there is the issue of over cooking the processed foods. We are eating essentially "dead food". This makes supplementation critical for health. ...Read more
What is the best vitamin supplements to keep the pH balance up. My body is extremely sensitive and my pH balance is horrible?
Whoa: There is a cult diagnosis of "ph disturbance" promoted on the internet, in which good people are encouraged to self-diagnose and then take elaborate mixtures of dubious vitamins and supplements. Unlike some other "pop" claims, this has no relationship to reality. If you are interested in supplements / natural / "holistic" healing, get with an evidenced-based natural healer in your community. ...Read more
Not related: Vitamins are not likely to affect migraine or anxiety. If you are not on a regular mixed diet, you may take any over the counter multivitamin, however that is not likely to affect your symptoms. It would be prudent to consult a doctor for the treatment of migraine and anxiety. Is it safe for a 24 year old man like me to take vitamin supplements such as neurogen e, a tablet of b complex vitamins + vitamin E for nerve health?
Yes, however...: Yes, these are safe, though I notice Neurogen E has the cyanocobalamin form of B12 and methylcobalamin is better. Look for a B complex that has the L-5-MTHF form of folate instead of folic acid,as about half of people have difficulty converting folic acid to its active form. E is best as a natural form with mixed tocopherols (not just alpha tocopherol).Consider Ashwagandha, a herb good for nerves. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
How can I prevent malnutrition with Crohn's disease??? Should I take vitamin supplements or something else?
How can I boost my 8ry old immune system. He eats ok food, runs around, gets sunshine, verrucas persisting for more than 2yrs. Vitamin supplements??
No worries: Persistent warts are not due to a weak immune system; it doesn't indicate any immune system problem. Activity and balanced diet are healthful, but not likely to help his warts. They'll clear up eventually. Or if large or in a bothersome spot, speak with his pediatrician about treatment. In meantime, this is no reason to worry about his general health. ...Read more
