Does vitamin B12 help improve tinnitus?

Does vitamin B12 help improve tinnitus?

Probably not: To my knowledge, tinnitus is not a commonly reported side effect of vitamin B12 deficiency. Even if it were, taking B12 would likely help only if your B12 levels were below a healthy range. ...Read more

I have constant high pitch tinnitus from inner ear surgery. Im 12 weeks post op and the noise is driving me crazy. I was taking Valium at night but stopped. Is there anything else i can do? Vitamins?

Tinnitus: Unfortunately, tinnitus is not an easy one to treat, especially if it occurred after surgery. Unless you've made a contact with the ENT who did the surgery, i would strongly suggest you call him and discuss that with him. Your surgery may need revision or certain studies to be done. No vitamins or supplements would help. ...Read more

What vitamins at whole foods are good for the mind; I s ginkgo still good?

What vitamins at whole foods are good for the mind; I s ginkgo still good?

Many good choices: B complex is important for mental function, as well as minerals like magnesium, so a good multivitamin is a good place to start. Gingko is an herb, not a vitamin. It can help but i find lesser-known herbs like bacopa, vinpocetine & huperzine often help even more. Other nutrients like fish oil, phosphtidylserine, phosphatidylcholine &acetyl-l-carnitine also help. See www.Raysahelian.Com/memory.Html. ...Read more

Is it reckless to administer Vitamin K by IV if it can be given s/c or IM? Why?

Is it reckless to administer Vitamin K by IV if it can be given s/c or IM? Why?

Yes. IV bad choice.: The oral route and IV route are equally effective at correcting excessive anticoagulation. The IV route carries the risk of anaphylaxis. Therefore the IV route should not be used if the oral route is available. The SC route is NOT as effective as the oral or IV and should not be considered a first line option. ...Read more

What vitamins and/or supplements would be most recommended for someone in their 40's?

What vitamins and/or supplements would be most recommended for someone in their 40's?

Few, Food Better: Vitamins is a big market, very inexpensive, derived from all sorts of otherwise food waste ; non food materials, big business, dependent on public ignorance/fear. Outside of vitamin d3 (not d), which I have found to be low for many people, or other specific deficiencies, possibly omega 3's from phytoplankton, best eat minimally processed foods from nature, avoid center isles with processed foods. ...Read more
