Abnormal nerve: Neuropathy is a condition resulting from abnormal nerve function. Neuropathy can be due to certain vitamin deficiencies, nerve damage due to trauma, alcohol consumption, radiation, side effects of certain medications, or due to certain medical conditions such as diabetes. Treatment varies depending on the cause of the problem. Have it evaluated and appropriately treated.See 1 more doctor answer
Not cause: Your leg pains are due to something other than pantothenic acid which is harmless, even in big doses.
Had a growth removed on leg and bleeding from it. Is it ok to take vitamin E because I take a multi vitamin?
Yes: According to the national institutes of health the recommended maximum intake of vitamin e is 1500 iu/day, though I seldom advise more than 800 iu/day. Most multivitamins contain only 30 iu of e though some have up to 400 iu. I advise only natural vit e (d-alpha tocopherol) & avoiding synthetic e (dl-alpha tocopherol) & ideally taking e with mixed tocopherols. See my comment for why:.
Electrolytes: There may be unrelated electrolytes imbalance. Please see a family dr. And have your blood levels checked. You may also be suffering from spinal nerve root irritation in the lower back spine giving rise to the leg cramps. The vitamins may just be a coincidence but if you are taking vitamins excessively b6 can give neuropathy.
Vit D, C certainly: Are known to cause painful legs. Vit d would be more common than vit c which in poor countries can cause scurvy in children, (not likely to occur here in the us). Recently I heard that vit k deficiency can also cause such problems, but I need to research that, before I can state that categorically. Hope that is helpful.
Uncertain: I am unaware of any vitamins that are as potent as meds such as aspirin, Coumadin (warfarin) or plavix. However, there is data showing that supplements such as fish oil, vitamin e, and vitamin c have some blood thinning properties. Regardless, addressing the reason for blood clots in the legs is very important. Dealing with weight, immobility, and inflammation in the blood vessels is crucial for prevention.See 1 more doctor answer
Magnesium also: This isn't really a vitamin, but magnesium deficiency is a common enough problem for me to mention it here. For this you want 2:1 calcium in combination with magnesium -- say 300mg ca with 150 mg mg. You don't want a huge amount of mg because it could produce diarrhea otherwise.See 1 more doctor answer
My right leg aching starts from thigh goes down to lower leg can this be caise of vitamin defency?
Unlikely!: Your problem sounds structural, like a possible disc problem in your back. You need to be evaluated by your doctor.
Hi. My question is...will b12 vitamins help regain sensation back to my legs after also having a shot which can I take liquid or regular tablets?
Sublingual B 12: For convenience, sublingual b 12 is the best choice. Oral b 12 has to travel through the GI system and most of it is destroyed. If you take the kind that melts under your tongue it will go directly into your blood stream and will you absorb most of it. Peace and good health. See doc about leg sensations.
No: There are no vitamins or natural therapeutics that will prevent or cure blood clots. Dvt's or blood clots in the leg are a serious condition and could lead to death if improperly treated. The only medications that help are the blood thinners like Coumadin (warfarin) and Lovenox (enoxaparin) (low molecular weight heparin).See 2 more doctor answers
What is the best med to stop cramping in legs and hands? Slo-mag, vitamins, etc.? Any input would be helpful.
It depends on cause: There are many possible causes of muscle spasms. Among the most common is magnesium deficiency; taking magnesium taurate, glycinate or citrate may help. Stress (which can cause magnesium deficiency) potassium, calcium, b vit. Deficiencies or structural imbalances can also cause. Stretching, relaxation techniques & massage may be help, as can herbs like skullcap homeopathy can help too. See comment:.
Vit D3: If you think you are low on vit d3 the first thing to do is to take a blood test and check your level of vit d3. Some symptoms are a weakened immune system (get many colds) and muscle weakness. Please get tested first as too much is as bad as too little and see your md to rule out other causes.
Which vitamin water contains the most potassium? Pain in legs requires potassium pills, but vitamin water helps condition.
Read the label.: The answer to your question lies within the nutritional information label on the vitamin water package. Look at the different waters and compare them for yourself.
Solgar v formula multi vitamins which contain 75mg B6 I took for10 months I now have experienced tingling in toes legs arms is this dose too high?
Most likely not: Vitamin b6 can cause neurological changes like paresthesias, but not usually with doses under 200 mg/day. These also dissipate when the dosing is stopped. If you're concerned about the amount of b6 in your vitamin, you could stop it for several weeks to see how or if your symptoms change. Please work with your doctor on this, since more evaluation may be needed.
