Vitamins Good For Circulation In The Legs
Could you tell me what are good foods and vitamins for getting a healthy heart and improving circulation?
You most certainly don't need to supplement with vitamins (unless it's vitamin d, and even then it's a hard maybe). Study after study has found no benefit. Fish oils seems to be pretty great, but only in high doses of >3gm/day of the dha/epa. Google "mediterranean diet" and have a look at this:

Can too much vitamin d make you itchy/prickly? . I take 1000 i.U. Per day plus have a very good diet. I have prickling/burning sensations in my legs.
Not really: Many things can make u itch. Vit d is at the very bottom of the list. 1000iu is a bs dose. ...Read more
Magnesium, E, B12...: The most common nutrient needed for leg cramps is magnesium, ideally as glycinate, taurate or citrate, but sometimes potassium, calcium & vit e help. B12 shots can help too. Stretching the back of the legs before bedtime can help too. Many herbs can also relax muscles, such as valerian, skullcap, passionflower and kava. Consider warm baths with epsom salts and lavender oil. ...Read more
I suffer from arthritic knees in both my legs. Is it safe for me to eat oranges as a source of vitamin C, as it is citrus fruit + not good for arthts
I need a good supplement or vitamin for knee cracking & popping without any pain but am worried to be worth by time!
Hard to find:
A good supplement to prevent/treat osteoarthritis. Initially there was some excitement about glucosamine and chondroitin but the data is underwhelming at best.
What might be even more helpful is to do some low impact exercises like swimming in order to strengthen the muscles around your knee. ...Read more
None unless you have: Unless you are having a vitamin deficiency, then adding extra vitamins makes your urine very valuable. Most vitamins are water soluble, taking extra only makes them end up in the toilet. Taking extra fat soluble vitamins when you don't need them could make you sick. Ask your family doctor if you are having any deficiency. Most people in the usa are low on vitamin d. Correcting that might help. ...Read more

Had a growth removed on leg and bleeding from it. Is it ok to take vitamin E because I take a multi vitamin?
Yes: According to the national institutes of health the recommended maximum intake of vitamin e is 1500 iu/day, though I seldom advise more than 800 iu/day. Most multivitamins contain only 30 iu of e though some have up to 400 iu. I advise only natural vit e (d-alpha tocopherol) & avoiding synthetic e (dl-alpha tocopherol) & ideally taking e with mixed tocopherols. See my comment for why:. ...Read more
Electrolytes: There may be unrelated electrolytes imbalance. Please see a family dr. And have your blood levels checked. Hi. My question is...will b12 vitamins help regain sensation back to my legs after also having a shot which can I take liquid or regular tablets?
Sublingual B 12: For convenience, sublingual b 12 is the best choice. Oral b 12 has to travel through the GI system and most of it is destroyed. If you take the kind that melts under your tongue it will go directly into your blood stream and will you absorb most of it. Peace and good health. See doc about leg sensations. ...Read more

Vit D, C certainly:
Are known to cause painful legs. Vit d would be more common than vit c which in poor countries can cause scurvy in children, (not likely to occur here in the us).
Recently I heard that vit k deficiency can also cause such problems, but I need to research that, before I can state that categorically.
Hope that is helpful. ...Read more
I take vitamin E capsules (400iu) every day. Is it ok? I take it for better blood circulation. I don't think I've vitamin E deficiency.
I am having very weird feeling in my entire body. Legs feel as if they are being pulled inside the earth. I am vitamin d deficient. What's the cause?
Uncertain: I am unaware of any vitamins that are as potent as meds such as aspirin, Coumadin (warfarin) or plavix. However, there is data showing that supplements such as fish oil, vitamin e, and vitamin c have some blood thinning properties. Regardless, addressing the reason for blood clots in the legs is very important. Dealing with weight, immobility, and inflammation in the blood vessels is crucial for prevention. ...Read more
Magnesium also: This isn't really a vitamin, but magnesium deficiency is a common enough problem for me to mention it here. For this you want 2:1 calcium in combination with magnesium -- say 300mg ca with 150 mg mg. You don't want a huge amount of mg because it could produce diarrhea otherwise. ...Read more
My dad started taking prenatal vitamins and he started with white spots on his legs how bad can it be?
Unrelated, not very: Prenatal vitamins are perfectly harmless for your father to take. I don't know any way they could cause anyone to get white spots so it's a coincidence. I can't say for sure how bad it is as I can't be sure what it is, but it might be vitiligo, an autoimmune condition that is not particularly serious other than being a cosmetic issue, or might be a fungal infection. He should see a dermatologist. ...Read more
Vitamin d is 8.5%.I have been having leg and back pain lately. I don't have any health probs. Is it because of this? Do I take supplements?

My wife is 7month pregnant. She is getting pain in leg area near vagina. Is there any way we can minimize the pain. She is taking all vitamins.
Obgyn evaluation: The first step is to see her Obgyn who is providing prenatal care. They can examine the area in question to determine if any abnormalities are present. Often these types of aches and pains are just part of the process of being pregnant. An evaluation should be done first before drawing any conclusions. ...Read more
I've been low in vitamin d for months and I've just noticed a curve in my legs, it might me be being paranoid but is this possible at the age of 17?
Yes, ? rickets:
A curve in your leg bones could be a sign of rickets, caused by Vit D deficiency:
https://en. Wikipedia. Org/wiki/Rickets
I wonder why you have been low for months.
I advise 10, 000 iu of D3/day to get your levels up, though you may take 40, 000 iu/day for a month to raise more quickly. I would also advise a least 1000 mcg/day of Vit K2 and calcium, magnesium and boron.

I hv tingling sensation stretch in legs due to medicine r cinex taken when I had TB 3 years back. TB cured. Hav taken many vitamins but no result.?
Tingling s/p TB Tx:
Peripheral neuropathy is a side effect of R-Cinex. Gabapentin/lyrica may improve or lessen the pain. Would also check B12/folate electrolyte (potassium, magnesium, calcium) level as low B12 may exacerbate the pain as may alcohol and heavy metal like arsenic/ lead and disease like diabetes, HTN.
