Vitamin Supplements B Complex For Acne
Can vitamin b complex cause acne? What about fish oil? I wanna take a supplement to make me gain weight but I don't want acne risk if ever? Help?
Supplements and Acne: Hi, neither b complex or fish oil will cause acne. In fact, both of those can actually be beneficial to those suffering from certain types of acne. Having said that, neither of those will lead to weight gain either. Gaining good weight is a result of healthy eating of appropriate nutrients including proteins and "good" fats as well as an appropriate exercise regimen. ...Read more
A dietary supplement, also known as food supplement or nutritional supplement, is a preparation intended to supplement the diet and provide nutrients, such as vitamins, minerals, fiber, fatty acids, or amino acids, that may be missing or may not be consumed in sufficient quantities in a person's diet. Hye. I want to ask. Can I take vitamin b complex when im on acne antibiotic for 3 month? . And can I take vitamin C as extra supplement for my skin?
Yes, and also...: No problem taking b complex and vitamin c while on antibiotics. I also strongly advise zinc, vitamin a & vit. E (make sure it is natural with mixed tocopherols), all proven to help acne. I also advise taking probiotics including sacchromyces boulardii to reduce imbalances in flora caused by antibiotics. Is it safe for a 24 year old man like me to take vitamin supplements such as neurogen e, a tablet of b complex vitamins + vitamin E for nerve health?
Yes, however...: Yes, these are safe, though I notice Neurogen E has the cyanocobalamin form of B12 and methylcobalamin is better. Look for a B complex that has the L-5-MTHF form of folate instead of folic acid, as about half of people have difficulty converting folic acid to its active form. E is best as a natural form with mixed tocopherols (not just alpha tocopherol).Consider Ashwagandha, a herb good for nerves. ...Read more
Hi doc I have vitiligo my doc suggest me vitamin b complex n clobetasol n protonic oint. Is vitamin supplements r enough for vitiligo. B/c I m brfeedi?
I am a heart patient. I had the "widow maker" 15 years ago. Since that time I have a pacemaker/defibrillator installed. I'm 64 years old. I take, as far as vitamins and supplements, fish oil twice daily, B Complex, Vitamin C and also a potassium pill

Vitamin b complex caused me to break out in acne, after taking it for a year, how long will it take for my skin to improve? I've stopped taking it.
There's no telling: Trying to figure out what's causing one to have acne is futile. Ignore all "pop" ideas and start using topical benzoyl peroxide 1-2x daily, perhaps 5%. It's not pleasant but it's your best friend. If it doesn't clear you, your physician can add prescription strength Rx. My acne remitted when I was 50; yours will too, someday. Until then, manage it like the serious medical problem that it is. ...Read more
Can I take biotin together with vitamin b complex to tame my acne? Can I use benzoyl peroxide aswel? Which one is more effective, cream or gel?
What are some good vitamin for acne and acne scars? I take vit a 8000iu/ vit c 1000 mg / vit d 3000iu /vit e 400iu / zinc 50mg/ b-complex all by mouth
Consider a better: Approach, HFLC, often far more effective. Study: DietDoctor. Com. Conversely, LFHC foods are associated with ↑ed incidence of acneform sebacious gland infections & lesions. While Accutane & benzoyl peroxide (in many formulations), tends to calm lesions, for many replacing LFHC foods with HFLC foods ends up far more effective. No evidence the vitamins your taking are effective. Do your own trial. ...Read more
You can do better: Vitamins are unlikely to be nearly so beneficial as topical benzoyl peroxide at least twice daily for two weeks. If this is not enough to clear you, your physician is your best resource. Acne is a serious, chronic, non-lifestyle-related illness that can always be managed, though it is cured only by time. You owe it to yourself to get effective treatment. ...Read more
What would you say is the best vitamin supplement to take for skin and acne, if there even is one?
NONE: Acne is a matter of genetics and hormones. Diet is important for other reasons. No vitamin pill alters acne in any way. Unless you are either overdosed (pills) or deficient (poor diet) the quality of your skin is not determined by vitamins. Adult female acne may be related to PCOS or birth control hormone and will clear with spironolactone nearly every time. There are thousands of nutrients in fo ...Read more
Been taking biotin as supplement everyday. It made me my skin more smooth, no acne anymore & hair grew fast! Is it a miracle vitamin? Love the changes!
Cause or coincidence: Now you know what a "testimonial" is. A testimonial is something you say happened to you, such as "I stopped eating plums, and my skin is much smoother". It often is a coincidence, the things that are happening, and are not "cause and effect". That means "not eating plums" does not cause skin changes, but both things occurred around the same time. Coincidences can fool you, if you let them. ...Read more
I am sick of antibiotic. What natural supplements or vitamins can I take for my hormonal stubborn acne?
Maybe: Skin health requires a concerted approach and in the case of nodulocystic acne requires use of medication. Healthy practices are: 1) reduced refined sugar, 2) elimination of food allergens, 3) supplementation with zinc and vitamin b5. There is some research to show that topical niacinamide is similar to topical clindamycin. ...Read more
